In traditional Chinese and Japanese ink paintings, the artist signs their name with a stamp, usually square or round in shape and dipped in bright red ink. The red stamp beautifully anchors the black ink to the white paper.
Seema uses an adaptation of this traditional name stamp, a simple red square (or circle), as her signature.
